Pawleys/ Litchfield Flood Update
Dear Concerned Owners and Guests,
Good news from the beach today as the sun is finally shining and flood waters seem to be receding along the coast. Many of our homeowners have reported conditions in other parts of the state to be worse than they are at the beach. Thankfully, we weathered the storm relatively well. Very few reports of wind damage and only a handful of homes that endured floods for a few days. Most condos also escaped unscathed. We have posted photos to facebook and google local that show conditions on Monday when conditions were the worst:
Things are significantly better now and only minimal standing water. One last hurdle with flood waters coming down the rivers, and then we should be home free. We will continue to keep you posted with any important updates from the coast.
Please be safe as you are traveling the state. Here is a link to all road and bridge closings –
Several of you have asked for information on how to make denotations that will help out. Here is some details that were provided by Georgetown County.
Donations to assist flood victims:
United Way: The United Way of the Midlands has set up a statewide donation site for people to donate to help communities in SC. They are distributing funds raised through this site based on zipcodes and communities indicated by the donor. 100% of funds donated will be distributed back to the designated county through their local United Way. Funds in Georgetown and Williamsburg will be distributed based on priorities set by the local Emergency Operations Centers and reported back to the community as they are spent.
